I'm not a build creator by any stretch of the imagination; however I've had years of fun following most of the builds put on this forum by the other very generous players of 3T. Its been quite some time since I started a new toon and I'm thinking perhaps a Bard PM SD might be a useful addition to the toon vault. I think it may operate well in the various Chambers as a curser ... but of course i may be wrong. Does anyone have such a build already or can anyone throw something basic up to be critiqued? Level by level guides are clarly the best and most welcome but ll input is gratefully appreciated.

Maybe draw up a version yourself, post it here and let others critique it for you? It might help you with your building skills.

Well if you go 28-Bard 2-SD 10-PM, You would be immune to crits and sneaks, but only do 44 damage per curse, the 38-Bard 2-SD does 64, with the needed Perform. You could depend on Drones for damage, if you got items with extra drone casts. So is this okay? Leveling up a Bard would be fun right now.

Interesting idea for PM Bard. I dont know why you really want the crit immune as hopefully your hide will keep you alive while cursing.
Do PM levels help bard with casting?
I recently built a caster Bard to play on Drale in party where bards are not welcome. Can play him solo for casting and cursing but i would play him more as a party disable/buffer/debuffer/curser.
I share that build in another thread.

I'm just looking for a new build to level up, not necessarily play once L40 is reached.
I already have the Bard 38 SD 2 build and the Bard 36 SD 2 BG 2 build, though Ive not really played either since they reached L40. I have never found the G Sanc Cloak or any rods that give extra drones ... but I live in hope!
Would it be best to take the PM levels after L20 ... and is there an optimum time for the 2nd SD level?

Sidecars Song of Misery build may be a good starting point threetownsboard.boards.net/thread/654/song-misery-bard-36-sd . Is EDR 3 a must have for these sneak cursers? 2 Levels of SD presumably for the free Evasion if I remember correctly though would you take both SD levels at L16 and 17? No need for Power Attack and Cleave. Other than that when best to take the PM levels and take all at once?

If you are going PM i'd take EDR 3, you can sheath using WW as well as curse, if you have a nice +10 soak item you can make get by without EDR, but i'd still take it

Going Halfling Starting Stats Stats Str 12 Dex 16 Con 14 Wis 8 Int 14 Chr 14
The above are The Song Of Misery Stats. I don't need 13 Str for Great Cleave as no BG. I do need to get Con to 21 for the 3 EDR feats. Dex is important for Hide/MS and Cha is required for Perform. The stats look good to me - any other thought?

I agree with ape on his EDR point. Wounding whispers works great and I remember a couple of players farmed trighton with a bard pm soaking dmg and cursing. It might take time to get used to but it could suit some players style of play. SD will of course be a nice addition for safety

Now commited to EDR 3. So perrit is ape?
If I knew how to get rid of the script garbage I would (and it seems i did without knowing, but maybe not after re-editing ssassa frassa saassa frigiin riggin).

I agree with Ape now.... Yeah, meant perrit. He's a much better builder than me, and probably anything he suggests is what you should go with I'd love to give more advice on stats etc but my memory is a bit fuzzy as haven't played in ages.

So I think I'm correct thinking 15 Bard levels required before I an take an SD level. 2 follow on question: 1. Am I better taking a 2nd SD level (and if so take it straight away)? 2. Should I take the 10 PM levels straight away after SD to get the crit immune, or should I wait until post level 20?
