Looking for a new build designed to kill Azath and the Troll Lord. Non-shifter. I have shifters that can do it but looking for a non-shifter melee. I am thinking a monk/fighter type with high AC and high monk levels (20) to get both massive speed to rum past ariels and have mind immunity. 21m/18/fight/1 sd or 20m/10cot/10fight. This is a one-trick pony build so not farming anywhere else with it. What would be the best non-shifter melee build to take out both Azath and Troll Lord? Since I am mainly running past arials and not fighting, I might be able to go Str instead of Dex, but then I am vulnerable to the golems. Looks like I will need Dex based to fight past ice golems. I do have a mind-immune helmet so I could go less monk and more fighter or other class, but want at least 18 monk for empty body. Ideas?

Have you read Jonales strategy guide for a PM counter casting Azath? You use drones and summons and hide in GS while counter casting. Also GS can be used to bypass the aerials. Similar for the ice troll just keep your distance and use fire shield and a 45 resist cold item with some cold elemental resist feats. Rahs are cold immune so take down the ice troll pretty fast. I have a 30 PM 7 AA 3 wiz build that can do it.

I think high level sorc is the fastest build to kill Azath, it takes only couple of mins to bring him down. And you have gs to run past arials after that.
As for ns-melees, they are all basically the same. You just need mi, di and pi items and 50+ saves.

I have a str dual wield monk20/ftr10/cot10 Azzy farmer and he does the job very well. Can kill fast and run back with gs rod.
IIRC Troll Lord only drops a reward gem so kinda meh.
